Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – Carolyn Bennie
Hello my friends,
Some cards are favourites – this one was a true joy to make and perhaps it was because I was making it with a friend in mind. I think that helps. When you’re making a card and thinking about the person you’re going to give it to. I also think it really influences the style of the card.
Recently Chris and I loaded all boys into my car and headed off to the other side of the country to show off the kids one of Australia’s other perfect cities, Sydney (Adelaide is very close to perfection its self of course).
If I was to say to you that a family of 2 adults and 3 primary school aged children, driving cross country was totally blissful you’d know I was lying. We did have lots of fun however and the boys can’t say they’ve not experienced some amazing things. I’m choosing to forget all the winning and grumpiness that can sometimes follow 3 tired kids… the adults, of course, were perfect, all the time, always. Hehe.
Love this man photo-bombing our family photo!! lol.
Anyways…. One of the highlights of the trip was calling in on my fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Louise Sharp and her husband Dan and family. They were very gracious and showed us around their neck of the woods Kiama and invited us to stay with them for a few days. What a stunning place it is. I’m totally jealous, Kiama is paradise.
Because I love Louise’s style I decided to make a card to give to her as a thank you for inviting us to stay and showing us about. This is my take on a Louise Sharp card with a twist of Carolyn as I don’t think Louise uses dark colours very much like I do.
One of my favourite things about this card is the tiny scallops peeking out of the Watercolour cardstock layer. It’s using the new Stampin’ Up! punch called the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. I don’t think I’ll ever use it as the full border but I just LOVE that little sneak of scallops on my layers. Delightful!
Talking about delightful. Here are the two of us, the delightful Louise and myself at the Berry Tea Shop. Meeting beautiful soles from all over the country and the world is one of the most amazing things about joining Stampin’ Up! It’s the gift that keeps giving.
Now is a great time to start your Stampin’ Up! adventure and make lots of amazing new friends too.
Below are the tools I’ve used to make my card. Head to my online shop to purchase these or other Stampin’ Up! products.
