A number of months ago I was asked to be on the first ever Stampin’ Up! Global Events Council. A group of 14 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators across the globe who would offer input and be honorary Stampin’ Up! Staff members at our new event called Onstage.
This last weekend Onstage events were held across the world – USA, Brussels, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. I was lucky enough to be assigned to the Perth Onstage Local event location. I was so excited… my very first trip to Perth, Western Australia!!
I’ve been busy in the last few months with Global Events Council meetings held by Skype with the other council members from all the countries, assigned presentations to present at the events itself and lots of rehearsals and meetings to make sure these events would run smoothly and be super amazing.
I’ve got to tell you, being an honorary member of the Stampin’ Up! staff for the weekend was just wonderful. I felt SO included and really part of the team. What a wonderful feeling.
What a hard working and dedicated team we had. It was just the 4 of us in Perth but there was also a fantastic amount of demonstrator volunteers that made the event run so seamlessly. WA Demonstrators are beyond SUPER and some of the sweetest ladies you’ll ever meet.
I thought you might like to see a little behind the scenes… the set up and the excitement of the day.
Friday morning started early. Here is Clare from the Stampin’ Up! Sydney office and myself a little punch drunk with excitement about 7am. We had 5 pallets of stock, bags and give aways to organise. Easy right??!!!
Stages were built, tables were decorated and Prize Patrol were hidden to reveal at the right times.
Can you believe these tables? Love that purple!! Do you see the sequins and buttons scattered all over the tables?? It looked even more magical in person.
All set up and ready for the next day.
On to ‘Centrestage’, the dinner for Silver Elite leaders and above.
We were treated to gifts, a beautiful dinner and a really insightful training by the amazing Clare.
When Saturday came, I have to tell you, I was SO, SO nervous about my talks. But meeting all of the Demonstrators and getting to know them made me feel at home and totally welcome. It really calmed me down seeing so many new and old stamping friends in the audience.
I was so blessed to have one of my beautiful Midnight Inklings team members join me in Perth. How wonderful having my friend Mel being my number one fan in the audience and the self proclaimed Carolyn paparazzi. Teehee. 😉 Thanks for the photos Mel.
Just some of the goodies we received on the day as Demonstrators.
Meet the Perth Team- Dave and Lyndon from the Home Office in Utah, myself and Clare from the Sydney Stampin’ Up! office.
Finally it was my turn to do my Product Presentation. For me, I’m so nervous until the second I walk on stage. Then all the nerves disappear and I’m in my element. Loved showing of some fun, fun, fun new products. (I’ll be post a few of the things I made tomorrow for you to see…. excited???!!!).
I was back on stage in the afternoon to present some training. This was the talk I was super nervous about but I didn’t make any big blunders and I hope everyone found something in it to take away and think about and help them in their businesses.
The day was full of stamping, training, seeing lots of new products and getting to play with them. Most importantly it was a day to meet new friends and get hugs and catch up with old friends. I had a ball. WOW. What an experience. If people even had half the fun I had, they would have had a super day.
When I crawled into bed that night …. I was totally, totally exhausted. Beyond tired. But happy. Really happy.
Thanks Stampin’ Up! for the amazing opportunities you give me. I can’t imagine what life would be like without it.
Pop back tomorrow and see some of my product samples. I’m so looking forward to share them with you.
