Apple of my eye
Australian Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Carolyn Bennie
I’m back designing for the Addicted to CAS Blog Challenge Design Team. It’s all about the colour RED in this the #80 challenge.
To be honest, I really needed to be pushed out of my Subtle and Neutrals addiction I’ve been in lately. Oh man – I can’t get away from those fab colours… but Red is such a gorgeous colour to craft in… and red on red is pure deliciousness. It’s good to get come bold colour on this blog!!
This red challenge was the perfect opportunity to ink up my new ‘Apple of my eye‘ stamp set and that perfect apple. This is a sweet stamp set. Simple and ridiculously cute .. and could be used for so many occasions. My boys go back to school in a weeks time, so I’m thinking of a card to their new teachers would be perfect. Might get us off to a good start.
I’m so looking forward to seeing what you all make at the Addicted to CAS design challenge blog with the code word RED. This is going to be fun!!

How did she get the apple to look like that?
Try the stamping off technique to get a fun gradient.
- Stamp the apple, stamp off on scrap paper to remove a little ink,
- re-ink the edge of the stamp by rolling in a circular motion on the ink pad,
- then stamp the project again.
I’ve stamped the sentiment in White Embossing Powder and heat set with a heat gun.
I’ve used Versamark to stamp leaves on the panel behind to create a pattern.
Here are some other ideas from Stampin’ Up! for using your Apple of my eye stamp set. It’s such a cutie!
