I have a confession. Some might say a dirty little secret and I think it’s time I shared it with the world. *blush*
I Carolyn Bennie have (up until last week) had the saddest excuse for a Christmas Wreath known to anyone in Australia. 🙁
I’m almost too embarrassed to show you… but I will (later). I’m feeling brave amongst you my friends. BUT before I do… I have some good news. Actually some EXCELLENT news. The team from Balsam Hills Christmas Tree company have saved me from my old wreath shame with the most amazing, beautiful new Christmas Wreath I’ve ever seen. Check it out!
This is my littlest Bennie Boy showing off the my new Vermont White Spruce Christmas Wreath. Both my Littlest Bennie Boy AND the Balsam wreath are stunners, I think you’ll agree. The wreath foliage is really soft and life like. It’s the ‘right’ green and is full and lush. We like it – a lot! Nice one Balsam Hills. Thank you!
We had our annual Christmas tree decorating afternoon Saturday and I’m pleased to tell you I survived. For those of you that have perfectionist issues like me, you’ll understand how having 3 small boys ‘helping’ me decorate each year can lead a gal to hit the eggnog. This year was no different BUT even so – I do so look forward to it every year. I’m a serious glutton for punishment. I know the days with my boys being little, excited to help and looking forward to this tradition each year will go by all too fast. These days are the perfect memories.
While I love my new wreath, just the way it came, as it has beautiful lights, the Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in me just couldn’t leave it ‘un-paper crafted’. So this is what I’ve put together.
Now I have to tell you friends, I did get a bit of stage fright before I started creating. I got a bit stuck in a ‘traditional Christmas colour’ rut. I love reds and greens… but they’re just not my crafting colours. They don’t speak to me personally. Then it hit me. My wreath should reflect ‘me’. When friends and family come to my front door they’ll see a little bit of my personality there…. so out came the Silver, Sweet Sugar Plum & Whisper White.
I love birds. I’ve just given in to the fact long ago that with every new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue I will HAVE to purchase every bird in it. The birds I’ve used here are from the Best Birds stamp set and Birds & Blooms Framelits Bundle. They make my heart sing and when I teamed them up with the new and yet to be released Dragonfly Dreams Bundle from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalogue I knew I was making a forrest wreath delight.
You can purchase your Birds & Blooms bundle right now and the Dragonfly Dreams bundle will be available for purchase as of January 4th. If you don’t want to wait you can join my team HERE and put the Dragonfly Dreams bundle in your joining kits as of 1st of December – your perfect Christmas gift!
How about the little bird house hey? There are so many uses for the Curvy Keepsake box and this is just one of them – if you’ve never looked on Pinterest for these boxes I dare you to not fall in love with them. Double dare!
I’ve used so many fun Stampin’ Up! products on my wreath I’ll pop all of them on the product list below. Just click on them to learn more about them.
So here is my new wreath hanging on my front door. I just love it and I think it’s so fun that I can decorate it to suit me and our little cottage. Isn’t that the perfect mix of crafting and home?
So I suppose you want to see my disgrace of an ‘old’ wreath?? Take a last look people – she’s not hanging around long! 🙂 teehee
