Sometimes you just need to do traditional Christmas Colours right? And it couldn’t get any more Christmas and traditional then Cherry Cobbler red.
I seriously love Cherry Cobbler. It has to be one of Stampin’ Up!’s BEST colours. So rich and delicious.
I’m back playing with my Father Christmas stamp set. It’s a corker set. You can find it in the Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalogue on page 114.
Lots of shading with my Sponge Dauber in Early Espresso on the edges, highlighting with my White Watercolour Pencil to add extra pizzaz to the stamped images and lots and lots of layering. All together makes for a fun twist on a traditional look.
I’ve used my Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils to colour in our Father Christmas. Really simple and if you loved colouring when you were little, you’ll love to colour now.
To add a little glitz, I’ve added a layer of Gold Glimmer Paper under the Stitched Shapes Oval Framelit layer (which I’ve sponged at little with my Dauber in Crumb Cake). You can’t ever say no to Glimmer Paper, right? 🙂
Father Christmas has been fussy cut…. I know. I can hear the groans from here but sometimes you just need to fussy cut things because, well, it looks awesome.
I’ve then put dimensionals behind Father Christmas to make him pop a little off the page.
What do you think? Call to action.
