When I was little ‘the big man dressed in red’ was called Father Christmas in my house. As the years have gone on, I’ve noticed that more and more he’s called Santa now. I do really like that this stamp set was called Father Christmas.
I thought it might be fun to copy this card directly from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. It’s a really merry little card and sometimes it’s really just fun to enjoy recreating the sample cards the Stampin’ Up! Artists have made for us.
TIP: Do you ever copy directly from the Catalogues? It’s a great idea and helps if you’re having a low creative moment. Gets those creative juices flowing. This is why Stampin’ Up! make such lovely catalogue samples – they’re there to inspire us.
Technique Alert: I had fun revisiting the paper ripping technique here as well. It’s been a long time since I’ve played with paper ripping. It’s super easy and takes no tools at all. Great for the new stamper with limited supplies.
This Father Christmas was stamped in Archival Ink and coloured in Stampin’ Write Makers.
