Have you heard about Fidget Spinner craze? It’s a fun kids toy that my boys recently spent their pocket money to purchase. It’s the toy fad of their time.. remember Coke Yoyos, Cabbage Patch Kids, Rubix Cube or Tamagotchi’s?

If you have a young person in your life you’ll know all about Fidget Spinners – if not, well, you still might find this card idea some fun. Perhaps you can think of a way to change it up to something else that spins?

My little ‘middlen’ (middle son) turned 10 yesterday! Oh my. Now I have 2 boys in double digits. As we lined up at the news agency last Friday to buy his Fidget Spinner I thought it would be a fun idea to mark is 10th Birthday with a card that really pinpoints this moment in time.

  1. Great job Carolyn. I cased your lovely card for my Nephew’s birthday. Number of Years is a favourite of mine too.

  2. I love this card. I used a penny instead of the diamentionals, and my card wording is different, but I could never have thoight up the idea for a fidget spinner! So cleaver.

  3. Thank you for such an amazing idea.
I was wondering if it would be easier to make a spinner template and draw around it on your cardstock then fussy cut it out all in one piece? Then you can make several in different colours and on patterned paper and they will all be exactly the same size and shape.

  4. Morning Carolyn!! Thanks so much for your tutorial!!’ 2 am here, the day of my son’s 13th birthday & I have just finished his Spinner Card!!

Can I please write a blog post and link it back here? I won’t do that until you allow me to – once again, Thankyou!!

    1. I’m glad you liked the card Jo. Of course you can write your blog post – I appreciate the link. 🙂

  5. This is FABULOUS! Thank you so much for making the video. I’d never have been able to make it on my own! My 13 year old was very impressed. 🙂 Spinners have been a craze here in Texas too. And have also been banned at the schools. Lol poor teachers!

  6. Thanks for a great idea, Carolyn! I copied it for my son’s birthday tomorrow. Can’t wait til he opens it!!
