Late nights and utes

Hey Lovelies,

Lots of action happening in my Stamping Room over the last few days. Mostly it’s been moving around my lighting and desk layout around. Craft room organisation makes my heart sing (am I the only crazy that loves to organise their craft room?). I’m excited as I’ve been able to achieve a lighting layout that should see me able to video at night and during the day. Yay! Watch this space for more Youtube videos.

I’ve also started a rather large stamping project that I thought I’d share a little of today.

My father in law has asked me to make him his 80th birthday invitations and of course, I said yes. I’m actually not really one for making big batches of cards.. but an 80th birthday is super special.

Here is stage 1 of the invitations. I’ll keep you updated with the final result in a few days, all going to plan. I’m making 46, so each step takes a good while to complete.

My father in law John has had a lifelong passion for buying and collecting cars, so there really wasn’t any other image I could use than a car for his invitations.

The old ute from the ‘Country Livin‘ Stampin’ Up! stamp set is perfect. John lives in a seaside country town here in South Australia and he’s always been a farm boy at heart.

I’ve really loosely watercoloured the ute image using ink from the lids of the Stampin’ Up! ink pads, Aqua-painters onto Shimmery White cardstock.

The ute is in the colour Garden Green, the wood is in Cazian Craze and there are highlights in Island Indigo just to give a little depth.

As I said, I’ve kept the colouring really lose so I could quickly make the 46. I stamped the images in one sitting and then the colouring was done last night in a few hours. (Actually, lets be truthful – I got to bed at like 2 am, it was a LONG night ).

So now I have to finish off these invites. I’m excited to show you how they turn out. Watch this space.

Now I’ve GOT to ask you. Do you buy your Stampin’ Up! goodies from me? Do you want to get 20% discount on all your purchases? You totally should if you’re a Stampin’ Up! regular customer. There is a great sale on called Sale-A-Bration, it runs until March 31st and if you join during this sale you can put a further 2 free stamp sets into your joining kit.

Lots of people think that if they join Stampin’ Up! they have to do what I do or have parties. That’s not the case. Of course, it’s a great business opportunity but you can also just have one customer – you. lol.  Check out my Q&A info here on being part of my team… you’ll be really surprised how easy it all is and what a good deal it is too.

Ok.. I better get back to it. If you’d like to purchase any of the items I’ve used to make the ute invitations (so far) click on the images below.

Remember I have a fun Host Code Club running this month as well, so when you order over $100 use the Host Code KGP9ECRX
