Midnight Inklings Blog Hop – Post Card Pals

Welcome to the Midnight Inklings Blog Hop.

I’m so excited and a little bit ‘mumma-team leader’ proud of these amazingly talented ladies. To be a team member of the Midnight Inklings you have either joined Stampin’ Up! directly with me or with one of those directly joined with me.

While it’s not a requirement to have a blog or to sell Stampin’ Up! products to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, these talented ladies participating in our blog hop today have decided to take that next jump…. and they’re awesome. I can’t wait for you to see what they’ve created.

In our hop today we’re playing with new products from the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. I’ve pulled out the stamp set ‘Postcard Pals’ and created some simple circle notecards.

To make these notecards you’ll need to use Crumb Cake cardstock and Stampin’ Up!’s Watercolor Pencils. I’ve stamped the images in Black Stayzon Ink and coloured directly to the page with my Watercolor Pencils, using a semi0wet Aqua Painter to soften any hard lines out after the colouring was finished. I’ve also added a little shimmer (best seen in real life) with my Wink of Stella glimmer pen.

Here is the full list of products I’ve used:

These cards are really not very big – they’d be great to pop on a gift.

I’ve used my Layering Circle Dies and cut 2 scallop circles from the Thick Whisper White and 1  plain circle from the Crumb Cake cardstock – colouring and stamping on the Crumb Cake piece.

To make the notecard – I’ve adhered just the top of the two Whisper White scallop circles together with double sided tape before putting Dimenionals between the coloured and completed Crumb Cake circle.
