Stampin’ Up! Australia Demonstrator – Carolyn Bennie
So the code word this week was Plaid! That really put me in a spin…. what really is plaid?! Well thank you Pinterest you answer all my questions!!! Plaid is just about any checkerboard pattern there is!
I had this fun Designer Series Paper from the ‘Farmers Market’ pack and the delightful stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue called ‘Apple of my eye’ teamed together to make this clean and simple Pear card that fitted the bill.
How I did it:
- I’ve stamped the pear and leaf on the back of the Designer Series Paper and fussy cut them out. I’ve lightly sponged with Crumb Cake ink & Basic Black and also added in the vein on the leaf with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker on the Journaling end.
- Using I’ve stamped the sentiment with Versa Mark onto the Pear and then covered in Stampin’ Up! Black Embossing power – heat gun to set.
- I matted a Whisper White square layer onto an ever so slightly larger square layer of the other side of the same Designer Series Paper – so all the same colours are in play on the card border.
- I’ve then added to a piece of Thick White Cardstock.
The Designer Sereies paper and the stamp set (which is adorbs!) are both on the Stampin’ Up! Retiring List. Make sure you get them before they’re gone!!!!
