Tulle Suspension cards with Best Birds

It’s that time of year…. when we start to think about saying goodbye to some fab product friends. Some of the hardest products to say goodbye to is always the Incolors.

Stampin’ Up! introduce 5 new ‘fashion’ colours to their range every year. They’re available for 2 years in cardstock, inks and co-ordination products and then we have to say goodbye to them. Super sad.

To say I’ve fallen in love with these colours would be an understatement and although they will be around for a further month and a half in our current Annual Catalogue I wanted to give you the head’s up NOW that they are going. Why?

  1. If you’ve  already purchased inkpads you’ll want to get the Re-fill inks to make sure those inkpads don’t dry up anytime soon.
  2. Have the inkpads or Markers but getting low on cardstock?? You’ll want to grab a few more packs because co-ordination is the key with crafting and the beauty of Stampin’ Up! products.
  3. You’ve just found these colours and now you CAN’T live without them. I hear you. I totally understand!! It’s time to invest.

Like my Best Bird cards? I’ve used tulle that’s sandwiched between two pieces of card to create an awesome way to suspend my birds. By putting a piece of white cardstock on the inside of the card the tulle disappears a little and it appears the birds are standing on the edge ledge or tree branch.

HOVER – on the images in my post and pin them to your Pinterest page. Why not start a ‘Best Bird’ board and pin all your favourite Best Bird stamp set images there?

Super fun cards to make. My local monthly card making class had a ball making all three yesterday.

Of course this technique could be easily changed out with a balloon floating in the air, hot air balloon, stars.. anything that is in the air really. So many ideas to try. I saw this tulle technique originally made by the fantastic Jennifer Mcguire.

See the full list of the products (including the Incolors) in the images below. Head to my online shop to see all the Incolor products.

Ok.. I’m off to do some more preparation for the Stampin’ Up! event this weekend called Onstage. I’m flying to Sydney to hang out with some of my amazing Midnight Inklings Team and I MUST finish of my gifts I’m making to give them.

Happy stamping,

x Carolyn
